Bristol Dojo Junior KickboxingKickboxing refers to a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historicallydeveloped from Karate,  Taekwondo and Western Boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for general fitness and as a ring sport. Our twice weekly Junior classes are suitable for children aged 7-13 years old. Children 14 years and over train with the senior students.

K-1 has a established itself as the most exciting form of kickboxing as it's been designed to produce a fast and exciting match to watch. Typically fought over 3 rounds of 3 minutes it has a reputation of producing very fast and Junior Kickboxingvery exciting action.

Kickboxing has become increasingly popular since the 1990's when it contributed to the emergence of mixed martial arts via further hybridization with ground fighting techniques from jujutsu and professional wrestling.

In our Junior Kickboxing class expect lots of fitness and conditioning training, lots of striking development using pad work and kickbag drills as well as light sparring in our kickboxing ring or on our 2000 sqft matted area.

On a physical level regular Kickboxing training will give you a well-proportioned physique, build stamina and get you in excellent shape. You will gain greater strength and agility, and will benefit from an immune system boost. On a mental level the study of Kickboxing will improve your self-confidence, discipline, self-awareness and self-confidence. Junior Kickboxing

Whether you want to train for fitness and enjoyment or you want to join our Bristol Dojo fight team and compete at our fight events and other events around the country you are welcome at anytime. Full protective equipment is available to loan or purchase from the Dojo.
